This MINI came up for sale on ebay in March 2018. It was mis-advertised as a pre-production car built in Germany!

From what we know of other VINs it is likely to have been built on April 25th 2001 and therefore is a production car, and wasn't built in Germany. Seems as it hasn't got an OBL plate it is much more likely to have been an early dealer demonstrator. The fact it was registered in July suggests it may have originally been destined as an OBL but instead sat waiting to be sent to a dealer.
The seller was right though, it is still a future classic.
